About Kyler
Kyler graduated from the top ranked Edwin O. Stene School of Public Administration with a Master's Degree in Public Administration, and an emphasis in City and County Leadership. Kyler also graduated magna cum laude from the honors program at Utah Valley University with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, and an emphasis in American Government.
Kyler's love for city management was developed in the classroom, and blossomed while he worked in the Payson City Manager's office. He has extensive experience working in the government and non-profit sectors; he spent more than three years volunteering with the Utah County Department of Health, where he helped support county-wide substance abuse prevention events; he also volunteered full time for two years in the non-profit sector while living in Tacoma, Washington working to coordinate community outreach.
During his graduate studies Kyler was hired as a engineering/management intern for the Olathe Public Works Department. While working in Olathe, Kyler helped to supervise the department's APWA accreditation process, and he lead meetings over department asset management and to review hundreds of performance measures.
Currently Kyler is serving as the Assistant City Administrator in Goddard, Kansas. In Goddard, Kyler has significant responsibilities over the public works department and in city communications, emergency management, public safety, information technology, and human resources. He has experience in research/analysis, project management, community engagement, internal/external communications, and working with City Council.
